4.21.13

My dad, sister, niece, and I went to a seafood buffet for lunch. It was the one we always go to. They have Teppanyaki, sushi, lobster and crab legs, among other things. The best part was the chocolate fountain. I made around six chocolate-covered strawberries. So good! :) 

After that, my sister invited me to go to a bonfire later that night at Huntington Beach. I believe it was my first time there! I can never say no to a bonfire and making delicious, hot "schmoes." It was Denise's first time trying a smore too! We bought the firewood and smore ingredients on the way. It was a mission to start the fire because my sister was using a lighter instead of matches, so the wind kept blowing the fire out. It was a chilly night, which made the fire's warmth that much more satisfying. We went to the shoreline, and I was definitely inspired to add night swimming to my summer bucket list. The only problem will be that my body doesn't get accustomed to the cold water that easily. 

We played the song game from Pitch Perfect while roasting marshmallows until it was time to leave. On the short drive home, Phoenix's "Entertainment" played on the radio, a perfect ending to a blissful day.
